Family Background
JLM Metal Recycling & Auto Parts, previously named Alternative Scrap Solutions, was purchased by Dave and Kathy McDonald on August 27, 2010. We made a fresh start as we opened our gate for business here in Waterford on Monday, August 30, 2010: With new ownership, new ideas and a new name.
JLM Metal Recycling & Auto Parts is a family company, with Dave and Kathy’s daughter Jamie Maillet as Vice President & CEO and her husband, Tyler Maillet as Chief Operating Officer. When you come up the stairs and into our office, you’ll always be greeted by a friendly face.
We’re bringing our strong family values and integrity to our business here in Norfolk County. With our belief in a clean operation and our promise to always pay fair and honest prices for your metals, many positive changes are happening here at JLM Metal Recycling & Auto Parts every day.

Jamie, Mason, Tyler & Caleb
Married since 2012, Jamie and Tyler Maillet are the proud executive officers of JLM Metal Recycling & Auto Parts. Together they work hard to operate a successful business with integrity. They began their own family in 2014 with their son Mason and had their second son Caleb in 2017.
Dave & Kathy
Dave McDonald has owned and operated Bodyline Auto Recycling for the past 30 years with his brother, Jim McDonald, and the support of his wife, Kathy. They have fully earned their reputation for treating each and every customer with respect and fairness and can credit their success to that. JLM Metal Recycling & Auto Parts is Dave & Kathy’s latest endeavour.
